Abstract Studies
As I navigate this multitude of roles and responsibilities, I am fascinated by the mind’s ability to adapt and navigate through chaotic environments. Through these charcoal, conte and pastel drawings, I am working with color and layering to organize a space that is both physical and psychological. These works, which reflect a theme of order and chaos, are representative of a fast paced and overworked American culture.
I use predominantly high contrast geometric shapes homologous with industrial architecture and use color to create a pathway that allows the mind to both embrace the chaos and assign order to the shapes.
